Laughing Constellations with Laura is absolutely amazing! The process is incredible and she is SO GIFTED—knowing just how to hold the space, ask questions and initiate laughter at precisely the right moments. Huge energy shifts occurred right away for me and have continued to integrate. I am in awe of this profound and life-changing experience and I can’t stop raving about Laura’s work!

We know that we inherit our DNA from our parents, but can we also inherit their emotional states? The emerging science of epigenetics is now giving credence to this theory. At the heart of this new field is the incredible concept that genes actually have memory. This work has shown that the lives of our ancestors do affect us—even if we did not know them—and perhaps the issues that afflict us are theirs, not ours.

Renounced German psychotherapist and author, Bert Hellinger, has developed a method called Family Constellations, which can address the root of our problems by looking at the entire family system. For over thirty years, he and many other facilitators around the world have helped people make startling discoveries about their entanglements with their ancestors. Once brought to light, long-term and life-changing resolution can be found. Hellinger explains the work in this way:

"When there has been a trauma or someone in the family system has been excluded, forgotten, cast out, or suffered a difficult fate, someone of the following generations unconsciously and invariably will step in and bring the lost member's destiny back through living it out in this lifetime effecting us in ways in which we have no understanding. It happens out of a deep but hidden loyalty that will not allow anyone of a family system being denied the right to belong. It is a love so deep that the family member may unconsciously choose to die, rather than ‘betray’ the family bond."

WHAT IS FAMILY CONSTELLATIONS?

Family Constellations is a somatic method—an embodied, experiential way of working through issues. It enables the client to work at a very deep, soulful level. When the flow of love is restored, then life in its fullest can finally be embraced.

Having presented on six continents, Rev. Laura Gentry is an internationally known figure in the field of therapeutic laughter. Using a method of laughing contagiously called laughter yoga, she brings the healing power of laughter to a variety of contexts including integrative medicine, wellness conferences and communities of faith.

Some people spend years in therapy only to find that they still face an ongoing sadness or emptiness that cannot seem to be filled. Illness, failed relationships or an unsuccessful career may be caused by this problem.

WHAT IS LAUGHING CONSTELLATIONS?

Laughing Constellations is a brand new process Gentry has developed, which merges therapeutic laughter and family constellations work. It opens up exciting possibilities by bringing these incredible modalities together. She was invited to speak about this innovation at the 2013 US Systemic Constellations Conference in Seattle, Washington. She gave a presentation there entitled: "Restoring the Flow of Love through Laughter."
